E-COMMERCE FAIR TRADE SHOW

NEXUS participants experienced the new reality of e-commerce through EXVO. Real and virtual worlds merged into a hybrid reality and together with their participants and exhibitors, NEXUS ushered in a new era of the e-commerce trade show. As a hybrid event (combining virtual and in-person elements), NEXUS brought online retailers, experts, and service providers together in a creative and unique way in response to the current challenges. 1,800 visitors experienced the e-commerce year 2021 in an elaborately designed, virtually replicated 3D trade show hall featuring seven stages, 60 presentations and speakers, and five themed worlds.

CHALLENGES

  • Provide the ability to network and generate leads in a virtual environment as the COVID-19 Pandemic restricted on-site trade shows.
  • Effectively translate in-person event ideas. Replicate the in-person event experience in a hybrid solution. Make communication, networking, and navigation easy.
  • Design five theme worlds as a life-like experience. Include seven stages with 60 speakers playing simultaneously over two days.

SOLUTIONS

  • The platform provided flexible design options for exhibition stands and branding. Using avatars, allowed visitors, exhibitors and speakers to network as usual, providing the real trade show feeling.
  • EXVO made doing things normally done in person – attending stage sessions, visiting the various booths, interacting with other participants easy – All through a single tool.
  • The virtual showroom provided excellent support in marketing the trade show, giving exhibitors and sponsors a great first impression using the 3D environment.
  • In contrast to an in-person event, a virtual trade show saves time and money to implement as virtual delivery does not incur travel and accommodation costs and participants save the long journey to the event venue.
  • Virtual implementation allowed enormously increased range for NEXUS.
  • The compact virtual format provided attendees with a lot of information in a short period of time all from the comfort of their homes.
  • The virtual implementation offers a more lasting experience than an on-site trade show as all presentations were recorded and can be viewed again at any time.
